Since Jose Velasco, one of the most prominent film and television producers in Spain, created Zebra Producciones as a film production company in 2001, it has managed to become one of the most important production companies in the Spanish audiovisual sector. It has a wide catalog of productions that includes more than 18 feature films, documentaries, fiction series, entertainment programs, theater, musicals and exhibitions both nationally and internationally that give rise to more than 1500 hours of television content per year.

In 2017 Zebra Producciones and Veralia Contenidos merged with the ambition to create a leading audiovisual content company in Spain: iZen Producciones. The group's brands are Zebra Producciones, Boca a Boca, Europroducciones, Hill Valley, Proima and Zebrastur.

It is currently producing for Amazon Studios the first Spanish series in its Amazon Originals catalog: El Cid. It will be one of the most ambitious productions in Europe and will be available in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.
